Occupational Medicine

The Framework Law on Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work imposes on the employers the obligation to organize the services of Safety and Health at work.

It is important that employers adopt policies to promote safety and health at work that ensure the health and physical integrity of their workers, respecting the principles of prevention of occupational risks.

Employers are responsible for:

-Ensure conditions of safety and health at work, in accordance with the general principles of prevention, namely in aspects related to the planning of prevention in a coherent system that takes into account the technical component, the organization of work, social relations and factors materials inherent to the work.

-Ensure adequate surveillance of workers' health according to the risks to which they are exposed in the workplace.
